1. What is Windows Custom Settings?

Windows Custom Settings is a fake anti-spyware program, which is real computer security software look-alike, so it might be very confusing for inexperienced computer user. The program performs illusory computer scan generating a list of found threats in the end, just like any other anti-spyware or anti-virus program. Scan report generated by Windows Custom Settings cannot be trusted as it is inaccurate stating that a number of threats have been detected on the system, even if the machine was clean. In this way user is being tricked into purchasing fake license, which promises to remove found threats. Keep in mind that Windows Custom Settings is not able to remove any kind of real viruses or spyware, even after the license has been purchased. Windows Custom Settings can infect computers both - through fake online computer scanners and infected websites. The program pretends to be a part of Microsoft Security Essentials and alerts user about potential threats:

Users normal desktop will be disabled by Windows Custom Settings each time Windows are booted and will not allow to appear until computer scan is completed and program is turned off.
Those warnings that are generated by Windows Custom Settings are not true and are used only to scare user stating that his computer system is not secure, thus persuading him to buy commercial program version. Do not make any payments requested by this program. All threats detected by Windows Custom Settings are not real and should be disregarded. 3. How to remove Windows Custom Settings:

  1. Internet connection might be disabled or Internet browser might be blocked by Windows Custom Settings, so it won't be possible to download any files to infected computer. In this case please download all files required for Windows Custom Settings removal to another computer and then transfer them on the infected one using CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
