What is XP Deluxe Protector

Posted on 5 June 2009 under Rogue Programs

1. What is XP Deluxe Protector?

There are programs intended to defend PC system from virus and spyware, XP Deluxe Protector is the one that simulates them. The one and the only purpose of such rogue programs is to make user pay for full software version.

How come the user is pushed into it? Right after XP Deluxe Protector has been installed, computer scan will be performed, eventually generating a report containing spyware and virus titles. The report list of found threats is incorrect as it contains non-existent names.

XP Deluxe Protector is set to load and perform computer scan each time Windows are started, which is very annoying. Every time after the scan has been accomplished, user will be offered to buy licensed XP Deluxe Protector version in order to remove found threats. It is not recommended to make a payment for this kind of programs, because it is certainly true that XP Deluxe Protector has been created on the grounds of scam.
