1. What is SoftStronghold?
This is unreliable computer program that promises to remove viruses and protect the system against future attacks. Unfortunately, SoftStronghold is software designed to deceive the consumer, by convincing him of the computer system damage, inducing to pay for virus removal service. The program will remove none of the serious-risks and will not protect the computer against future threats. For the foregoing reasons, SoftStronghold is also known as a scareware.
In order to intimidate the consumer and force him to transfer money for worthless program, SoftStronghold uses several effective methods:
SoftStronghold is a fraud. If you are a victim of this program, we do not suggest to make any payment related operations, and urgently remove SoftStronghold false product. If you mistakenly paid for the program, immediately contact your credit card distributor and report the fraudulent transaction.

- Another way to frighten the user, from time to time resulting “Security Center Alert! Infiltration alert" notices on the right bottom of the screen, stating that "Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. The user is asked whether he would like to block this virus using SoftStronghold assistance and as soon as an agreement has been received, victim is directed to the rogue payment page.
- The third method, which is an attempt to intimidate the consumer - the hijack of an Internet Browser. In this case, the page user is expecting to view will be replaced with "Insecure Internet activity. Threat of a virus attack" message. The content of a message will warn user about a possible virus, worm and Trojan attacks by unsafe browsing the Internet, which can slow system performance, or even cause crashes. Victim is also warned about the personal information insecurity. Finally SoftStronghold rogue program is offered as a solution, in order to protect your computer and safely continue browsing the Internet.
- The fourth method - the Windows Security Center forgery, using it as SoftStronghold advertising measure, to give the impression that this is a Windows operating system recommended product, thus increasing the chances to convince consumers to buy the program.

2. How to remove SoftStronghold:
- Internet connection might be disabled or Internet browser might be blocked by SoftStronghold, so it won't be possible to download any files to infected computer. In this case please download all files required for SoftStronghold removal to another computer and then transfer them on the infected one using CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
- To remove SoftStronghold download Spyware Doctor and install the program (for the installation guide click here). Before installation, make sure all other programs and windows are closed.

After the installation, computer scan should be started automatically. If so, please move to the next step. If not, click "Status" on the left side menu and press "Scan Now" button to run computer scanner as shown in the picture below:

After the scan has been completed and scan results have been generated, press "Fix Checked" button to remove SoftStronghold.
- Restart the computer to complete SoftStronghold removal procedure.
